Hey! My name is Samuel Trowler, and I am a Sports Journalism MA student at Liverpool John Moores University, working towards NCTJ accreditation and Albert Certification.

My approach to the sports world is shaped by my unique background, with an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Politics and my time living in Abu Dhabi. These experiences, combined with being an openly gay journalist, drive my goal to include and share diverse voices and to cover the human aspects of sport in my work.

I am particularly interested in the politics of sport and the role of sport in politics, as well as the shift in sport and media towards sustainability, as reflected in my work towards the BAFTA-recognised Albert Certification.

While my main passions are football and golf, with growing interests in motorsport, I can deliver coverage across a range of sports.
